A children's family saga · written in its own English edition
"The clouds have things to tell us."
A family saga to share, where every generation has a part to play.
Ages 8+… and for the grown-ups reading over their shoulder.
The story, in one line
Back on the family land, Roxane is bracing for a long, dull move. Then she finds Axro, an astonishing creature, half leopard, half cloud, hidden away in the house. It's the start of a tender, funny, magical adventure, where the clouds really do have something to say, and where a love for nature slips quietly into the story, never as a lecture.
Who this saga is for
Roxane & Axro is for the whole family, but here's an important clarification: easy, flowing writing doesn't mean a book for babies. This is a real fantasy saga, with a plot that builds, mysteries that unfold volume after volume, and plenty of depth to hook strong readers too, young and old alike.
A children's book that works just as well read aloud as read alone.
A gentle fantasy saga, unrushed, built for long, unhurried reading time.
Flowing text, large print, a reassuring repeated structure, also built with dyslexic readers and reluctant readers in mind.
Easy to read isn't the same as simple: a real plot, stakes that grow with every volume, made for confident readers who love sinking into a series.
Nature, kindness, and generations who respect each other, with no moralizing.
The collection
Each volume lays down another piece: the characters, the world, and then the big adventures. The early books are the foundation everything else is built on.

The world
At the heart of this family saga: the Nebuliens, creatures born of clouds, searching for a home, a family, a place to belong. A gentle metaphor for belonging and for what gets passed down between generations, carried along by warmth and humor.
Roxane, a young dreamer with island roots, and Axro, the mist-leopard from the Cloud Island. Will the earth and sky find their balance?
The characters
Four generations under one roof, and a few companions who never asked for any of this.

The story behind the story
Roxane & Axro isn't your typical children's saga: it draws on its author's real life and her own experience, and above all on her two children, her true driving force, twenty years apart in age. Two ages, two ways of seeing the world, one family: that gap is where the whole saga began. It's a big part of why so many families find themselves in it.
A movement born from the saga, where kids and grown-ups share what they see in the sky.
Like clouds do, drifting from one family to the next, maybe yours is next.
My name is Sylvie, and Roxane & Axro was born in my home, not in an office.
I am the author and the creator of this saga. The story, the world, the characters : all of it comes from me. From my life, from my experiences, and above all from the people around me.
Starting with my father. He can tell you about the stars and quantum physics while playing a game of chess, and he will, if you leave him an opening. He was a maths teacher, then a tennis teacher. When I was small, he was the one who pushed me towards chess for concentration, and towards tennis for years. At the time, I did not always understand why. Today, I thank him. In a way, he is the messenger of this saga : the one who passes things on without ever making a show of it.
And then there are my children. Two generations under one roof, twenty years apart. One stepping into the grown-up world, the other discovering everything. That gap is what I put into my books. It is why every generation has a role to play, and why the grown-ups find as much to read as the children do.
I write in an airy, spacious style, and that is deliberate. Because I know thick books frighten some children, and a book nobody opens is of no use to anyone.
A word about the images, too. I put my visuals together myself, in Canva. It is a budget choice and I own it : I am an independent author, and I would rather put my means into the books themselves. When a visual does not satisfy me, I do it again, as many times as it takes. This is a first for me, and I am still learning. I keep training, and I keep getting better.
There you have it. A family story, written by someone who has one.

To share, to print, to pin up
There's a balance between sky and earth worth finding again. Clouds don't ask for much, just a few seconds of attention, and a little room for the imagination to wander. That's the whole spirit of the saga, captured in two images.
